FAQs

Q. HOW MANY PASSENGERS CAN TRAVEL ON BOARD?
Maximum number of passengers on La Dolce Vita is 4. (1 Seated with Skipper in CoPilot Seat and 3 seated behind on bench seat)

Q. WHAT SHOES SHOULD I WEAR?
Please wear non marking flat soled comfortable shoes suitable to boating. Should you be dressed up for a Wedding or Function and have high heeled shoes, please note that it would be best to slip these off before embarking and whilst on the boat.

Q. WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress to suit the weather conditions. La Dolce Vita is a low slung open top fairweather boat so you will be exposed to the elements. In summer ensure you apply a good broad spectrum sunscreen and bring a hat. You will be exposed to the direct sun which can be intensified on the harbour. In winter dress warm. If weather conditions are choppy or there is potential of rain, then wear a water resistant spray coat or jacket as you may experience spray, splashes or direct rain. La Dolce Vita does have a retractable top, but cruising with the top is not ideal as it will limit your visibility of the beautiful harbour. We also supply blankets and towels on board should you need them.

Some of Sydney’s Wharves may not be ideal due to high wash or poor access so please contact us to work out the most convenient pick up & drop off location for your charter. Ideal Sydney Wharves would include: Cockle Bay Marina Darling Harbour, Casino Wharf Pyrmont, Campbells Cove Pontoon Circular Quay, East Circular Quay Pontoon. Q. DO YOU SERVICE MANLY & MIDDLE HARBOUR
AREAS SUCH AS THE SPIT & BALMORAL?

We do service these areas however there is a minimum 2hr charge & customers must understand that service to this area is very weather dependent. In order to reach Manly or Middle Harbour we need to pass by the heads. Being such a low slung boat, this is only recommended in calm conditions. If there is moderate to high swell coming from the heads, then the passage across will not be suitable for La Dolce Vita and we would need to postpone or cancel your charter. Please bear this in mind when booking special occasions such as weddings.

Q. DO YOU SERVE FOOD AND BEVERAGES?
La Dolce Vita is not licensed to serve food and beverages but we do keep bottled water on board should you get thirsty. Charterers are most welcome to bring aboard their own Food and Beverages or stop at one of the many harbour cafes or restaurants for a great meal or quick coffee. See below for some of the restaurants and cafes you can cruise up to. We can also recommend you contact Sydney Picnic who make beautiful gourmet picnic hampers which can be delivered to your home or the boat prior to boarding. It may be the only Comitti Portofino boat of this type in Sydney Harbour or in Australia.
